Apollo Solar Wireless Remote Data Display
“Apollo Solar provides superior charge controllers and superior service to its customers.” —Cornelius “Pete” Peterson, Massachusetts Homeowner In a convenient, portable unit, the Apollo Solar Wireless Remote Display monitors the PV-Battery System by tracking power production and consumption and then calculating the energy remaining in the battery.
The data showing the comprehensive status of the PV Array, the Controller, and the Battery System is transmitted via WiFi from the battery energy meter that is built into the Apollo Solar T80 and T100 Charge Controllers.
The Wireless Remote comes in two models, the RD100 with a distance range of 100 feet and the RD300 with a range of 300 feet. State-of-Charge (SOC) is displayed in Percent Full, Amp-Hours, and Bar-Graph format, an easy-to read “gas gauge” essential for optimal performance of battery-based systems. Also displayed are the PV current and voltage as well as the Battery charge/discharge Amps.
The Wireless Remote shows 90 days of historical energy production, usage, and charging data recorded by the T80 and T100 Charge Controllers. All the information is provided at a glance in one convenient location and the data cache can be expanded to a year using the SD Memory Card. Firmware updates to the T80/T100 can be downloaded from the Web and transmitted to the Charge Controller.
The RD100/300 includes an internal antenna and rechargeable NiMH batteries with on-board charging. Charging input may be 12v to 24v DC or 115VAC using the plug-in wall transformer. The Apollo Solar Wireless Capability is plug and play, simple and fast, requiring no set-up or programming—just turn it on. The Readout is both desktop and wall-mountable with a Backlit Transflective LCD. A Wired Version of the Remote Display is also available.
