Solar Electrical System Cables & Wires
Here you will find a full spectrum of solar electrical system cables and wires to interconnect your solar PV modules and safely line your entire solar power system.
As a reminder, PV systems often consist of both DC and AC circuits. Alternating current and direct current wiring systems are not compatible and must be separated. Please do consult with an experienced electrician prior to embarking on any solar electrical system installations on your own.
Quality solar electrical system cables maximize the efficiency of your solar panel installation. Solar electrical system wires come in both solid and stranded wire, but we strongly recommend stranded solar electrical system wires. We offer model-to-module solar panel wiring, solar array to charge controller, battery cables, and tray cables. You can also find fittings, grounding wire, and service cable.
To know which wires are right for your installation, consult your solar panel system blueprint. Remember that at least one of the two DC voltage buses must be grounded in every solar panel installation. Typically, you will want to ground the negative bus.
Solar electrical system cables come in both AC and DC voltage. DC voltage from the battery is converted to AC voltage via a AC-DC inverter. Most inverters provide 120VAC, the standard required for homes in the United States.
As always, working with electricity can be dangerous. If you are not sure of your ability to wire a solar panel system, consult a licensed electrician in your state.
